Call Center QA ROI Calculator
Most QA teams review a few percent of calls by hand and never put a number on what that costs. Enter your team size, call volume and review rate to see the hours and labor cost of manual review today, what reviewing every call would take, and what Call Coach IQ would cost for the same team.

For comparison, manually reviewing the 2,000 calls Call Coach IQ would score each month would take an estimated 463 reviewer hours and cost about $14,194. We don't net this into a “savings” figure: how much human review you keep, and what your reviewers do with the time, is yours to decide.
Coverage applies to calls within your plan's monthly call allowance — 40 calls per agent per month on Coaching IQ, 100 on Insights IQ and 250 on Compliance IQ; Enterprise call processing is unlimited. Calls beyond the allowance are not processed that month rather than billed as overage. See plan allowances.
How we calculate this
Every figure is an estimate built from your five inputs and the formulas below. Plan prices and call allowances are read from the same source as our pricing page, and the review-time method is the one we used to measure manual review time in the Pioneer Connect case study.
1.Minutes per reviewed call
Average call length × 1.25 for listening (pauses, rewinds, re-listens), plus 7 minutes to write notes and complete the scorecard. This is the same method our Pioneer Connect case study uses.
2.Manual review today
Agents × calls per agent gives total monthly calls. Your review percentage of those, × minutes per reviewed call, gives review hours; × the reviewer hourly cost gives the monthly labor estimate.
3.Reviewing every call manually
The same minutes-per-call applied to every call, not the sample. It shows what full coverage would cost if people did it.
4.Plan and cost
The smallest standard plan whose per-agent monthly allowance covers your calls per agent (40 calls per agent per month on Coaching IQ, 100 on Insights IQ and 250 on Compliance IQ; Enterprise call processing is unlimited), × your agent count. Over 100 agents, we show Enterprise instead of a price.
5.Coverage and review time freed
Coverage with Call Coach IQ is calls scored within your plan's monthly call allowance, as a share of total calls. Review time freed is the manual hours you spend today on calls that automated scoring would cover. It is an estimate of time made available, not a headcount reduction.
What it leaves out: calibration sessions, supervisor review of reviewers, coaching delivery time, and the cost of feedback that arrives a week late. Those make manual QA more expensive than shown here, not less. It also does not estimate revenue, retention or compliance outcomes, which depend on your operation.
Reading the results
The gap that matters is usually coverage, not cost. A team reviewing 3% of calls is coaching from a sample too small to show which behaviors repeat across an agent's week. Automated scoring against your own rubric — see our call center QA scorecard guide for how to build one — closes that gap without adding reviewers, and the time your QA team spends listening can move to coaching conversations instead.
If you want to see how that works day to day, the AI call coach page walks through scoring, coaching notes and agent feedback, and pricing compares what each plan includes beyond its call allowance.
Common Questions
How do you calculate the cost of manual call review?
Each reviewed call costs listening time plus write-up time. We count listening as 1.25× the call length, because reviewers pause, rewind and re-listen, and add 7 minutes per call for notes and the scorecard. Multiply by the number of calls reviewed and by your reviewer's fully-loaded hourly cost (the default is $30.69, the national-average figure from our Pioneer Connect case study). It leaves out calibration sessions, coaching delivery and supervisor overhead, so real costs are usually higher.
What would it cost to manually review every call?
Take the same per-call time and apply it to every call your team handles instead of the sample you review today. For most teams that number is several full-time reviewers, which is why manual QA programs sample 1–5% of calls. The calculator shows both figures side by side for your inputs.
Which Call Coach IQ plan does the calculator recommend?
The smallest plan whose per-agent monthly call allowance covers the calls-per-agent figure you enter: 40 calls per agent per month on Coaching IQ, 100 on Insights IQ and 250 on Compliance IQ; Enterprise call processing is unlimited. Plans are priced per agent per month (Coaching IQ at $79, Insights IQ at $110, Compliance IQ at $185). Higher tiers add features such as analytics and compliance monitoring, so the recommendation is the minimum fit on volume, not necessarily the right plan for your needs. Teams over 100 agents are on Enterprise, which is quoted.
What happens if my agents handle more calls than the plan allowance?
Coverage applies to calls within your plan's monthly call allowance. Calls beyond the allowance are not processed that month rather than billed as overage, so on a standard plan they are not scored. If your volume is above the largest standard allowance, Enterprise call processing is unlimited.
Why doesn’t the calculator show a single savings number?
Because we cannot compute it honestly from five inputs. Whether review hours turn into savings depends on how much human review you keep, whether reviewers move to coaching, and what better coverage does to quality and retention. The calculator shows what we can compute — hours and labor cost today, the cost of full manual coverage, the plan cost and the review time automated scoring could take over — and leaves the netting to you.
